Garlic is one of the world's most popular spices. It is used in meat, fish, vegetables and game dishes, in sauces, soups and salads as well as in pots and herb butter. Depending on the region it is found in oils, in mayonnaises, in (spice) pastes or spreads. When using warm it blends well with ginger, pepper or chili.
By heating garlic loses both sharpness and smell, the flavour is more delicate and less dominant!
